VIDEOMAPPING NBC. GRECIA, LAGO VOULIAGMENI
3D MAPPING, MAPPING ON WATER SCREEN and R&D.
SMARTWORKS entrusted the technical production to Light Project, an event where projection and video mapping were the great technological bet for the NBC gala dinner.
The chosen location was the cliff of Lake Vouliagmeni (Greece), a hot springs resort south of the Greek necropolis.
The large natural rock screen with about 3700 m2 where the videomapping took place, had 9 BARCO UDX-W32, for the creation of the matrix and mapping 2 WATCHOUT systems with 8 simultaneous outputs each was necessary. For the creation of a more spectacular feeling we installed a 25m2 water screen at the foot of the stage, live realisation, lighting and our own R&D development of floating spheres.
As for the dissipation of the space it was necessary to install 3 transparent tents to ensure the vision of the mapping even if the weather was not ideal. In the lighting section we included 10 BMFL SPOT, 1 Robe ROBOSPOT, 10 Clay Paky Mhytos, 6 Robin 300, and 8 Fresnel 2kw.
For sound, we relied on Meyer Sound’s Leopard system and 6 Shure wireless microphone systems and Dpa headsets.
SmartWorks trusted LIGHT PROJECT to carry out this production with the support and supervision of Santiago and Flor Ceo’s of Smartworks.
